Balthazar's Story
Meet Balthazar - an eighteen-month-old male cat!
A very special person is needed for this very special cat! ❤️
⚠️ Adult-only home (or a home with teenaged children)
⚠️ Cannot be homed with other animals/pets
⚠️ Will need access to a garden (away from busy/main roads)
⚠️ Best suited to an owner experienced with nervous cats
Hello everyone - my name is Balthazar, and I am approximately 18 months old!
Now as you know, us cats have 9 lives... Well, I nearly cashed all of mine in on one day! You see, I was discovered at the recycling centre sealed up in a box - 15 minutes away from being crushed! Thankfully, an eagle-eyed worker spotted me and saved my life. They contacted WAR who rushed out to get me.
I was checked out by the vet, and although I was given a clean bill of health, I was really rather traumatised by the whole event and was quite hidey and swipey at first.
For the last couple of weeks, Baldy has been working hard with me at WAR HQ to gain my trust. I am coming on in leaps and bounds.
I now enjoy a fuss and will sit on his lap, but when I have had enough or start to feel a bit nervous, I will take a swipe and back away.
In order for me to continue to grow in confidence, WAR now think that the best place for me is in my own home, with someone who can be with me more often, giving me love, attention and reassurance but also respecting my boundaries.
I am looking for a quiet, calm home, with a very patient person (or people), who can spend a fair amount of time at home with me, gaining my trust. I would like a nice garden to explore once I'm settled in, but it needs to be away from main/busy roads.
I have been neutered, chipped, and vaccinated.
