Dutchess's Story
- Impaired vision - Incredibly shy/nervous - Not suitable to be homed with other pets - Not suitable to be homed with young children (teens and above only)
Hello, everyone!
I'm Dutchess and I am approximately 1 year old.
I am currently living here at WAR HQ. I was spotted straying in a wooded area serveral times, but I was unapproachable. Finally, I was caught by a member of the public, and WAR was called to collect me. I really wasn't in great shape from being out alone in the woods, and it was quickly discovered I had a problem with my sight. Baldy took me to the vets, and it was confirmed I am partially sighted.
Now understandably, with all I have been through and my difficulty seeing things clearly, I am very nervous and weary of people. For the first couple of weeks, I stayed hidden out of view, but Baldy has been gaining my trust day by day, taking it slowly at my pace. I do now venture out of my hidey places and accept stokes, but I am still incredibly shy and nervous and really not sure what to make of humans - even with Baldy (who I know) I'm still worried.
I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, and I am now ready to find my forever home. Now I know I won't be the easiest cat to re-home, but I still deserve a home of my own. WAR will consider homes that will be happy to let me be me and accept I may never be a snuggle buddy cat. I may always be a frightened cat, but in the right environment and with the right people, I may just surprise you all!
If you think you can offer me the loving forever home that I really do deserve, please complete the application form below!
