Taking on an animal requires long term commitment. To own an animal is a privilege, not a right and you should be 100% sure that you can:
1) Afford to have and keep an animal by ensuring all its needs are met (that means providing good food, veterinary care including annual vaccinations and regular worming and flea treatments, warmth and shelter) for the lifetime of the animal - remember cats can live 18+ years and dogs can live 15+ years.
2) Care and love the animal, as part of your family for its entire lifetime.
3) Protect the animal against cruelty and neglect by making sure it has a safe environment.

Please note all adoptions will be agreed after a home check has been carried out, during the home check we can discuss the pet(s) needs and it gives you a chance to ask us questions to ensure the pet is suitable for you and your circumstances, we also request that once an adoption has been agreed the pet(s) is homed within 48 hours of the date the animals have been deemed ready to go by WAR so we can make the space free for another animal needing rescuing.
We request an adoption donation for an animal/s which will be discussed at the home check stage - please note the donation is
payable before or on day of collection of the animal.
Please note all animals are vet checked and any emergency treatment is carried out before rehoming. The cats will also be vaccinated and depending on age neutered and chipped before they are released.
All money goes straight back into the rescue - thank you WAR

Animals needing a home

 Buttercup - born on 11/08/18

hi I am Buttercup I was born at Wallington Animal Rescue along with my 2 sisters
My mummy Shelley and 2 ginger sisters have all gone off to their lovely new homes, I had a home lined up but just as I was about to pack up my bags to go to my new home I got a very poorly tummy, I went to see the vet and I had some tests and meds but I was still poorly. Eventually it was discovered I was allergic to fish and chicken protein. With a strict diet of lamb I have bounced right back and WAR are completely happy with my recovery. My new home already have other cats that have different dietary requirements so are unable to keep an eye on my strict diet (I'm cheeky and will eat food I am not allowed and make myself poorly again!)
I am now ready to look for my forever home, my foster family described me as the most friendly and gentle kitten they have ever met, I love cuddles and attention and really need a loving family to call my own.
Please note I will need to be a cat only household because of my diet but I do currently live with a cat loving pooch and I enjoy snuggling up with her in her doggy bed.

I do on occasion have a little accident outside the litter tray but i am getting better and learning what I need to do.
My new family must understand how strict my lamb only diet is only a few mouthfuls of other food makes me very poorly so I must be monitored

If you think you could offer me a loving new home  please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check - thanks xx

Hello all we are the Blenheim Beauties!
I'm Biddy the ginger beauty along with Babs the Tortie and shy Beth the Black beauty.
We were reported to WAR by a lovely man and supporter of the rescue after our owner was evicted and the landlord kicked us out. He kindly fed us and caught us for WAR to collect along with his neighbors.
We are only young and are very traumatized by our very scary experience so are quite timid and nervous but are slowly getting better.
We all need spaying, vaccinating and chipping but WAR are giving us some space to settle in before we have that done.
We will be looking for a quieter home with a family who understand timid cats and can meet our needs.

If you think you could offer us a loving new home  please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check - thanks xx

Well howdy folks!!
My name is Forrest and I think you will agree I am a gorgeous chap of about 8 - 10 years old.
I was found as a stray on an allotment.
WAR collected me and checked me for a chip, unfortunately I am not chipped and they said by my appearance I had not been cared for for a long time.
I am currently living with my foster Dad and am looking and feeling so much better.
I am a happy chappy but I do like my own space and can be quite independent so I am looking for a family to love me but to also understand that I am not a lap cat, however I am a total sucker for a good brushing! I love having my beautiful long coat groomed.
Now my biggest vice is food! I am a mega foodie! food is on my mind morning noon and night (and most of the time in-between!!)
My foster dad says I even sleep facing my food bowl! I have been vet checked to see if there was a medical reason but nope turns out I just love my food! So my foster Dad feeds me small amounts regularly through out the day, because I will scoff a whole bowl down in one sitting and that's not good for my tummy.
I am chipped, neutered and vaccinated.
I am looking for a pet free home with older children and a nice garden to chill out in.
If you think you could offer me a loving new home  please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check - thanks xx

Hello there my name is Sherry and I am estimated to be a year old.
I was in immediate danger but thankfully 4 rescues helped to rescue us, So I would like to say a huge thanks to the folks at Ally cats rescue, Attas Army, The New Moon Rescue and my new friends at WAR.
I was rescued along side my kittens but there are now old enough to find their own homes so have gone to another rescue to help them with that, as when I arrived at WAR they quickly realised I was pregnant again.
I have since given birth to 5 gorgeous babies called Kirsty, Toyah, Francis, Rick and Bowie.
I will stay here until my babies are 12 weeks old.
4 babies will be rehomed as pairs and 1 will be rehomed with me.
If you think you could offer me and my baby a loving new home please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check - thanks xx

Lara - (into rescue 6/02/19)

Picture
Hello I'm luscious Lara and I'm settling in nicely at WAR HQ after my young owner was taken into care. He did Luffs me lots however I wasn't able to stay with him so a lovely lady who was concerned about my welfare after my owner was taken into care contacted WAR. Working in conjunction with her and Sutton Social Services they managed to gain entry to the premises and remove me safely.
I have just moved in with my foster family and I am enjoying being part of a busy family and I am certainly enjoying the fuss and attention.
I will be off to the vet soon for the full works then I will be looking for my new furever home.

Blanca - (into rescue 30/01/19)

Picture
Hey there ladies and gents let me introduce myself I am the fabulous Blanca and I am 9 years young!
Now have I got a story to tell you! Back in 2012 I went missing from my home in Crawley my owners registered me as lost with the micro-chip company but I just vanished, then one snowy evening in 2019 I went through a cat flap in a house in Carshalton and made myself comfy under their bed! The home owners contacted WAR who came to pick me up, they scanned me for a chip and as I had one they immediately contacted my  registered owners, now were they shocked to hear that I had been found after 7 years! Sadly my new owners now have other commitments and felt the best thing to do for me was to sign me over to WAR.
The lovely people who's house I decided to visit named me Blanca and I think you will agree it suits me just perfectly!
Now my 7 mystery years have left their toll on me, me hair was in a terrible state, my teeth are a bit dodgy and I have a large cyst that needs removing.
I have visited the lovely twinnies at Groomingtails and they have removed my knots and the pongy smell I had and I am looking fab, now to focus on my teeth and cyst

Once I am back to full health I will be looking for a lovely new home to be treated like the total queen that I am with a lovely garden for me to do some sunbathing and bird watching!

Hi my name is Rupert and I am approx 3-4 years old
I have been a stray for a long time and sadly made a home in a garden shed, a lady started feeding me and contacted WAR to come and rescue me.
WAR collected and checked me for a chip but I do not have one, so back to WAR HQ I went.
The folks at WAR were shocked at the state I was in, my long fur was 80% matted but after a visit to the lovely ladies at the groomers I am looking, feeling and smelling so much better.
I am a friendly guy considering I have been on my own for so long. I will be looking for my new home soon.
If you think you could offer me a loving new home please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check - thanks xx

Hello my name is SSSSSSSparrow and I am a 2 year old corn ssssssnake.
I came into WAR as an owner surrender. I have settled in nicely and am eating well.
Now the people here at WAR said I am the biggest corn snake they have ever seen - I take that as a compliment!
Now because I am such a long snake my new owners will need to have the correct size vivarium for me so I have plenty of room.
I am looking for a home with a snake savvy family
