Today, we are launching a campaign to bring awareness to an often reoccurring issue of animals going missing due to accidentally being trapped in vans and cars., especially in Summer months where cats are seeking shade and cool environments when roaming outside.
When it comes to cats, it's well known they'll be looking for the next warm, sheltered comfortable spot to take their cat naps in. And sometimes, that just so happens to be in cars and vans. Share, share, SHARE...
We have created a campaign on Facebook to spread awareness on the issue and to give advice on the best steps to take if you ever come across the issue.
Please also consider reading our web information page about the campaign, which contains lots of helpful tips and precautions you can take to ensure you don't end up with an unexpected furry stowaway in your vehicle.

We have some exciting news...Chloe over at ScentsWithLoveByChloe has created the cutest, most absolutely amazing wax melts we've seen... Introducing the Snow Fairy Paw Wax Melts; inspired by WAR!
These wax melts are 100% Vegan and cruelty free, Lush inspired, and to top it all off... for every purchase of these wax melts, Chloe will donate to Wallington Animal Rescue. How amazing is that?! We're so honoured. Just look at how gorgeous the melts look! Hi folks. Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone for your ongoing support of our rescue, even during these difficult pandemic times. Things have been extremely difficult for the rescue and team. We thank everybody for your kind offers to volunteer and foster, however we're not taking on any fosterers at the moment sadly. All aspects of rehoming are also on hold. Whilst this may sound silly, we can't afford to put any of Team WAR at risk, as all volunteers/fosterers/adopters require a home check first. The health and safety of our team and supporters is very important to us, as without them; we wouldn't be able to help the animals we rescue! So this is an essential step towards getting through this difficult time. Unfortunately, we've also already have lost 3 of our fundraisers this year due to the UK lockdown, so we don't know what's coming next... But let's keep our heads up high. We wish you all the best for safety and good health! However, we wanted to share some good news... |
