Today, we are launching a campaign to bring awareness to an often reoccurring issue of animals going missing due to accidentally being trapped in vans and cars., especially in Summer months where cats are seeking shade and cool environments when roaming outside.
When it comes to cats, it's well known they'll be looking for the next warm, sheltered comfortable spot to take their cat naps in. And sometimes, that just so happens to be in cars and vans. Share, share, SHARE...
We have created a campaign on Facebook to spread awareness on the issue and to give advice on the best steps to take if you ever come across the issue.
Please also consider reading our web information page about the campaign, which contains lots of helpful tips and precautions you can take to ensure you don't end up with an unexpected furry stowaway in your vehicle.

These wax melts are 100% Vegan and cruelty free, Lush inspired, and to top it all off... for every purchase of these wax melts, Chloe will donate to Wallington Animal Rescue. How amazing is that?! We're so honoured. Just look at how gorgeous the melts look!
Hello everyone.
Hope everyone is doing well in these, still, confusing and anxious times. We wanted to give you an exciting update in regards to our rescue... As of 01/07/2020...
We're excited to announce we will be reopening home checks and adoptions for a select few of our lovely rescue animals.
Please note that we will only be accepting applications for the following cats: NinaGeorgeand Toby
Unfortunately, we're unable to accept applications for kittens at this current time, whilst we deal with the current waiting list. So please refrain from apply for the waiting list for a little while, until things have settled a little more. We will keep you all posted!
Snakes and reptiles are open for adoption as normal, but still require homechecks so do get in touch if you'd like to take on any of these beautiful creatures! Obviously, as things change in the coming weeks, we will adapt as best we can. If you have any questions, please do get in touch. We obviously have to prioritise responding to rescue and assistance requests first, but we're happy to answer any questions when we can!
Last seen early Saturday morning (27/06/2020) in the Roundshaw area.
Lancastrian rd/Hunter Close/Ensign Way/Mollison Drive. If you know him, you'll know it's out of character not to be around. His mum is beside herself. He's also an ex WAR cat. He may have got into a van so could also be in Waddon area. Please check your sheds and let's get this boy home. Please share and contact us at Wallington Animal Rescue if you've seen him. He is microchipped. |
