Hello everyone, we are the dynamic duo Bernard and Bugsy and we are approx 16 weeks old. You can tell us apart as Bernard is all black and Bugsy is more grey/black and has a white spot on his chest.
We were found abandoned along with our 2 siblings when we were only days old... The Hairy One and Baldy had to hand rear us until we could feed ourselves; I'm so thankful for them. We then joined our foster family and kept them amused during lockdown! Our brother and sister have already gone to their new home, so now it's our turn.
We have asked our foster mumma to describe us: Bernard is a very sweet boy and love giving kisses and head bumps. He also really enjoys having a cuddle with the resident pooch! Bugsy is the crazier of the 2 and can be found launching himself off the furniture and landing on his brother in surprise attacks, but when he wants to chill out he loves cuddles and snuggling under your neck.
When Bugsy was about 8 weeks old it became clear his tummy was rather swollen so he was taken to the vets where a scan relieved he had pockets of fluid in his stomach, the vet recommended that he was not rehomed at that time as it was unclear if he was ok. He has been visiting the vet every 2 weeks since then for scans and weigh ins and general health checks. On Friday (14/08/2020) the lovely vet lady said although the pockets are still there Bugsy has gained weight, his tummy is no longer as swollen and is hitting all his developmental milestones and is a lovely happy kitten who is now ready to find a new home but his owners must be aware he has an undiagnosed condition but is not affecting his health or wellbeing.
We have had all our jabs and are looking for a loving family home. We get on well with everyone so we can live with kids, other cats and cat-friendly dogs. We need a nice safe garden and a home away from main and busy roads.
We will now be re-assessing existing applications before opening up new applications for these gorgeous boys.
