Please read our FAQ and Before You Adopt sections before contacting Wallington Animal Rescue. You will need to thoroughly read the descriptions below in order to understand the animals requirements.
All animals on the following pages are now safe and cared for within our rescue. They are all receiving the medical treatment they need, such as neutering, flea and worm treatments, to help them enjoy a happy life. If you have any questions about the following animals or our rescue, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Please contact us to go on our waiting list. We have to prioritise our adult cats, who have been hoping to be homed for a long time, first. So if you would like a kitten specifically, please contact us and ask to be put on our waiting list. We will get back to you as soon as kittens become available for adoption.
I am a gorgeous chap that was found as a stray on an allotment. I am chipped, neutered and vaccinated. I am looking for a pet free home with older children and a nice garden to chill out in.
When I was found, WAR checked me for a chip but unfortunately, they could not find one. They said by my appearance I had not been cared for for a long time. I'm feeling a lot better now and am currently living with my foster Dad.
I'm a happy chappy but I do like my own space and can be quite independent, so I'm looking for a family to love me but also understand that I'm not a lap cat. However, I'm a total sucker for a good brushing! I love having my beautiful coat groomed.
Now my biggest vice is food! I am a mega foodie! Food is on my mind morning noon and night (and most of the time in-between!!) My foster dad says I even sleep facing my food bowl! I have been vet checked to see if there was a medical reason but nope turns out I just love my food! So my foster Dad feeds me small amounts regularly through out the day, because I will scoff a whole bowl down in one sitting and that's not good for my tummy.
Hey there! My name is Baz (predominately black male) and I'm joined by my best friend, Taz (predominately white female). We are approx 10 months old and inseparable.
We were part of a huge hoarding case taken on by the amazing New Moon Rescue, who are good buddy's with WAR. They rescued another 15 cats along with us, so the people here at WAR offered to help share the load and took us on! We are a little shy and a bit nervous of our new surroundings, but we quickly come out of our shell and enjoy a stroke. We have both been neutered/spayed, chipped and jabbed and we are now looking for a new home together. If you think you could offer us a loving new home please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check!
Hello, my name is Sparrow and I am a 2 year old corn ssssssnake. I came into WAR as an owner surrender. I have settled in nicely and am eating well. The people here at WAR said I am the biggest corn snake they have ever seen- I'll take that as a compliment!
Now because I am such a long snake, my new owners will need to have the correct size vivarium for me so I have plenty of room. I am looking for a home with a snake savvy family. If you think you could offer me a loving new home, please contact Wallington Animal Rescue to arrange a home check!
Hello, my name is Nina and I am approx 1 years old. I was handed in to Avenue Road Vets by a kind person after I had been seen straying for a while. The vets gave me a good check over and checked for a chip which I don't have. They contacted the folks at WAR who came over and collected me.
They also quickly discovered that I am heavily pregnant. I gave birth to 5 beautiful kittens on the 1st May and am currently looking after them until they are big enough to be homed themselves. I'm a very loving cat.
I have settled in very well and I am very affectionate. I will be staying here at WAR HQ until my babies have grown big enough for rehoming, so from about August-September. Please follow WAR on Facebook for updates on my babies and of course, you can check the website.
Tobias here, or you can call me Toby for short. I was in a right state when I arrived as a stray back in April. But just look what a handsome chap I am now. They think I'm about 8 years old, and I'm not telling. I have to admit that I was a bit scared and bitey when I arrived, but my foster Mum says that now I trust her it's more or less stopped, apart from a nibble here and there (can't seem to help myself but I don't mean it).
My mum says I'm a total lap cat. I love company and follow her around everywhere, including at bed time, but she loves it. I love being brushed and laying out on her chest, when I can often fall fast asleep.
I'm looking for an experienced and patient cat person who doesn't mind my nibbles. No young children or other pets. I'd also like a little garden to explore. If you think you could offer me a forever home in return for all my luffs and cuddles please get in touch with WAR. I look forward to meeting you.
Why hello there! My name's Gracie and I'm basically still a kitten at 7 months old. I've already had a litter of kittens myself though.... my precious babies are called Elvis, Presley and Priscilla.
I did have one still born on Tuesday and one died in our arms (RIP Rocky) so I'm a little sad... do the right thing and prevent this sadness from happening to others by spaying, neutering and chipping your cats... This is a horrific thing to happen to any animal.
Anyways, my other kittens are currently happy and I'm looking after them. So as soon as they are old enough to take care of themselves and go up for adoption, I would like to join a new family of humans who will look after me!
So please contact us if you are interested in a gorgeous, friendly softie like me.
Hi there! My name is Nelly and I just joined WAR after being handed over by New Moon Rescue. I was once a stray but I'm currently with our fosterer, Sharn. When New Moon Rescue found me, I had been living in a back garden for some time and has matted patches of fur... I was very sad about this as my dark coat is beautiful! I've recovered fast though.
I am a youngster, only about 6 - 8 months old, and WAR couldn't find a microchip in me. I am a very friendly girlie and, as you'll soon find, I'm also very playful! I love to snuggle up next to my foster mum... haven't sat on her lap yet but I love to be cuddled up very close. I also love my food!
I am due to be spayed, vaccinated and chipped then I will be already for my furever home. I would love to be part of a family and have access to a nice garden so I can explore. If you think you can offer me a loving forever home, please contact WAR.
Hello, my name is Myrtle. I am approximately 10-12 months old WAR reckon and I joined from New Moon Rescue, who like us are inundated at the moment. I was named for a friend of WAR and in memory of her beloved cat. ❤
When I joined the rescue, I was heavily pregnant; despite being a kitten myself! This is why human's must ensure to neuter their pets... as much as I love my 3 kittens, I'm quite young to be a mum...
Regardless, I am safe and sound now, alongside my little kittens. I will be caring for them for a little while but as soon as they are big enough to look after themselves and be re-homed, I will be available. I will also be neutered. If you are interested in my cute little face, please contact us.
