Hi, I'm Julius. I came into the rescue in the middle of February, having been found as a 'stray'. Well thankfully I was microchipped. WAR tracked down my owners, and guess what - I'd been missing since August last year! A gentleman never tells, so I can't say what I'd been doing since then. I was excited initially, but sadly my owners’ circumstances had changed. They weren't able to take me back. Yes it was sad, but worry not, I was signed over to WAR and have been treated very well there. I spent a few weeks at HQ boy-bonding with Baldy, and then came to live in a house with my foster mum 2 weeks ago.
Well I know what you'll all be thinking - yes I am fortunate to be a rather handsome young man. I say young as I'll be 3 in August. My mum says I'm a bit of a snob and a doofus at times. I like to jump up in the air at the most random things. I like to run away sometimes like I've never seen you before. I love to stretch out randomly around the house, especially on the stairs. I love a good foot rub on the stairs. I love pouncing on my mum through the bannisters when she walks past. I'll grab her ankles from behind as she goes up the stairs, or down the stairs, or walks around the house. Never any claws though, but for this reason, she says I'm not suitable for anyone who's not totally steady on their feet. I can be quite chatty, and my mum says I make the strangest noises. I like to chase a ball or a spring and throw around my catnip chicken and mouse… Well, for a minute or 2 before I need to lay down again!
I'm totally chilled and very gentle so would be happy living with a family. I love a stroke and a good brush, on my terms of course, and no part of me is off limits. I'm not a lap cat, but I don't mind being picked up for a cuddle. I'm quite independent and happy with my own company. You'll mainly find me lounging at the top of the stairs, but I'll come and find you and demand attention when I want it. I've not lived with other cats, but I guess I'd be happy to explore that, for the right companion…
My mum says I'm a fussy bugger as I'll only eat tuna and chicken - no cat food for me! Well apart from cat biscuits, meaty sticks and dreamies - but don't we all love a treat!. I like to drink from the kitchen sink, because bowls are so overrated. I'm looking for a home with direct access to a garden that I can explore when I'm allowed out. I’m neutered, flead and wormed and having my first vaccinations this week. I'm great with the litter tray too.
If you think I could be the cat for you, please complete the application form below!
Thanks!
Love, Julius x PLEASE NOTE: Julius is desperate to be outside. Our cats remain indoors whilst in foster and getting in and out of the house has proved tricky for his foster mum. After adoption, we recommend cats are kept in for at least 4 weeks, so you will need to be confident that he can be kept safely indoors. A porch would be ideal, but not essential, of course!
