After the release of Brian the Buzzard the other week, we're delighted to show you the follow up of the Gosling rescue immediately afterwards.
Working in conjunction with the amazing Liz Kane and our friend's at Wildlife Aid, this is the story of that rescue. Baldy is looking good and he stayed dry!
A huge shoutout and thank you to Wildlife Aid Foundation for their ongoing support and for the unconditional love and care they give to the animals they rescue.
Much love from one rescue, to another! You find out more about the many wonderful rescues we've worked with over the years at our Request Assistance page.

Hi everybody! It's time for a monthly Team WAR update!
We've been very busy during these tricky times caring for the rescue animals in WAR (with assistance from our wonderful fosterers!), as well as still taking call-outs for animals in distress or need of rescue and hand-rearing lots and lots of kittens. It's been difficult, but everyone in the team is ploughing through at the best of our abilities, all in the name of making sure our animals are happy and healthy! Let's begin the monthly updates... Adoption Application Suspension
With immediate effect, as of 6th June 2020, we will be suspending all adoption applications until a later date.
During COVID, we received over 150 applications since the 1st May alone, that's without applications prior to that. Whilst this is amazing that so many people are interested in becoming a new potential, loving owner for our rescue animals, it has been extremely difficult to move forward on these applications due to health and safety risks. We've been unable to carry out home checks safely in the current climate, which is an essential part of ensuring the animals go to the very best suited families. We wouldn't want to put any applicants or our team at any risk, so it was a difficult decision that had to be made... Hi all! We wanted to share an amazing update with you all. One of our lovely fosterers has been taking care one of our handsome rescue animals; Brandon. When we brought Brandon in, he was in a terrible state and was the most matted cat we'd ever seen! He had to be clipped under sedation and the vets found all sorts of nasties stuck in his fur... it was really heartbreaking. So we had to give Brandon a full shave and, although he didn't look himself, he certainly felt a lot better than before. Well, fast forward to May 2020 and now we have an absolute stunner... Take a look!Just wanted to say hope everyone who supports us is okay, safe and keeping to social distancing requirements where possible! Team WAR are currently working extremely hard to ensure we can still continue our rescue the best we can, even during these uncertain times.
If you'd like to help us, please consider contributing and donating to our charity. Since most of our fundraiser events have been cancelled for 2020, we are now relying purely on donations, sponsors and Amazon Wishlist purchases from you guys and we are ever so thankful for that... it is amazing what a community of animal lovers can do to help! We accept Paypal and card payments so if you'd like to join the helper crew, please take a look at our donation page! Thank you as always, we couldn't do what we do without you. Hi folks. Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone for your ongoing support of our rescue, even during these difficult pandemic times. Things have been extremely difficult for the rescue and team. We thank everybody for your kind offers to volunteer and foster, however we're not taking on any fosterers at the moment sadly. All aspects of rehoming are also on hold. Whilst this may sound silly, we can't afford to put any of Team WAR at risk, as all volunteers/fosterers/adopters require a home check first. The health and safety of our team and supporters is very important to us, as without them; we wouldn't be able to help the animals we rescue! So this is an essential step towards getting through this difficult time. Unfortunately, we've also already have lost 3 of our fundraisers this year due to the UK lockdown, so we don't know what's coming next... But let's keep our heads up high. We wish you all the best for safety and good health! However, we wanted to share some good news... |
