Hi folks. Firstly, we'd like to thank everyone for your ongoing support of our rescue, even during these difficult pandemic times. Things have been extremely difficult for the rescue and team. We thank everybody for your kind offers to volunteer and foster, however we're not taking on any fosterers at the moment sadly. All aspects of rehoming are also on hold. Whilst this may sound silly, we can't afford to put any of Team WAR at risk, as all volunteers/fosterers/adopters require a home check first. The health and safety of our team and supporters is very important to us, as without them; we wouldn't be able to help the animals we rescue! So this is an essential step towards getting through this difficult time. Unfortunately, we've also already have lost 3 of our fundraisers this year due to the UK lockdown, so we don't know what's coming next... But let's keep our heads up high. We wish you all the best for safety and good health! However, we wanted to share some good news...

Hi folks, this is Team WAR here.
We wanted to give an update on the current procedures of our rescue, with the recent news being a huge impact everywhere in the world right now. With the current situation escalating and a great deal of uncertainty regarding the future, we're changing the way the rescue operates for the foreseeable future. Obviously, the health and safety of the WAR team comes first at all times. The majority of the rescue team has other commitments as well families, jobs etc. We have some very sad news from Tinkers' long term foster family.
This is what they have to say... 🥀 "We first met Tinker at WAR HQ. We instantly fell in love with him and had to bring him home, so we did! On the 17th October 2017, Tinker became a part of the clan. Due to him being terminally ill, we were told that he would have around 3 months left. Fast forward to 2020 and 3 months turned into 2 years and 3 months! Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst recently though and on the 16th March 2020, we had to say goodbye to Tinks as he passed over the rainbow bridge." Well this is new... eh?
We at WAR have decided to start a little blog, so that we can keep you all up to date with what's happening with the rescue, any events that we may have coming up or even promotions and opportunities for you to help us! |
