WAR Summer Affair 5: A HUGE Success!

WOW! What a weekend that was!

Sorry about the delay in posting, the team are still recovering! A bit of a long post but stick with it at the good bits are at the end.

The team never envisioned when we started planning this years festival in March, after 18 rotten-months, how good or successful it could or would be. We all still have smiles on our faces after what was a phenomenal two days.

A personal thank you to all of our WARriors

We couldn’t possibly name everybody personally who contributed so so much, apologies if we miss anybody.

• Thank you to our incredible sponsors Direct Line Communication for your generosity and support.
• Thank you to the management and all the staff at the Charles Cryer Theatre for your tireless efforts over the weekend. Cryer Arts allowed us to use the venue free of charge and also  have kindly donated 100% of ticket sales to the rescues incidentally.
• Thank you to the amazing team of volunteers, fosterers and rescuers for giving up your time to help plan, stage and execute the event.
• Thank you to all the artists, entertainers, performers and dancers who again performed for free, you all rocked!
• Thank you to all the stall holders for an amazing range of arts, crafts and cakes.
  
• We did say we couldn’t single one individuals out but we’re going to make a small exception; the mini WARriors Eddie, Luke and Lily  who are the children of our fosterers. You young ones were an absolute diamonds! From helping us pack away, to making sure everybody had a wristband on the door and to sharing your chips with us, sell merch and running the tombola  you are all legends.
  

Finally, thank you to everybody who attended, supported us, donated or bought raffle tickets.

One of our abiding memories of the weekend will always be seeing so many of you laughing, drinking, dancing and having just so much fun. Safe to say we all needed it!
